Purpose
The purpose of this professional development is to strengthen the understanding of differentiated instruction and strategies for implementation.
Goals
After completing this professional development, teachers will be empowered to use research based differentiated instructional strategies to differentiate for all students in the classroom.
InTASC Standards
Standard 1: The teacher understands how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional and physical areas and designs and implements developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences.
Standard 2: The teacher uses understanding of individual differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards.

Objectives
1. Identify and evaluate examples and non-examples of differentiated instruction
2. Describe how to differentiate content, process and product to meet the needs of diverse learners
3. Reflect upon the use of differentiation through content, process and product in your own classroom/setting
4. Implement research based strategies for differentiation based on knowledge gained
